1. Who we are
Brighton Weekend is a web application for discovering events in Brighton and Hove and organising plans with friends and groups. For privacy questions or account deletion requests, contact iamapassenger@hotmail.com.
2. Information we receive from Google
When you choose Google Sign-In, Google provides basic account information needed to authenticate you. This can include your name, email address and profile information such as a profile image where Google makes it available.
3. Information created or provided in Brighton Weekend
We may store your Brighton Weekend display name, groups you create or join, group membership, event interests and commitments, and community events that you add. We may also store authentication/session identifiers and timestamps needed to operate and secure the service.
4. How we use Google user data
- To create and authenticate your Brighton Weekend account.
- To associate your account with your groups and event activity.
- To show relevant group activity to members of shared groups.
- To maintain, secure and troubleshoot the service.
We do not sell Google user data. We do not use Google user data for targeted advertising. We do not use Google user data for unrelated purposes or transfer it to third parties except where necessary to provide the service or where required by law.
5. Storage and service providers
Brighton Weekend uses Supabase for authentication, database and related infrastructure. Google provides the Google Sign-In authentication service. Information is processed by these providers as necessary to operate the service.
6. Sharing
Information that you choose to make visible through groups or community event features may be visible to other members of the relevant group. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to provide Brighton Weekend, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. You may request deletion of your Brighton Weekend account and associated personal information by emailing iamapassenger@hotmail.com.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect account and app information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the service or its data practices change. The current version will always be published on this page with its updated date.
